Morning Distractions
I shouldn't a done it. I shouldn't have turned on Foxnews this morning and stayed tuned for the TOTUS' little update on how tough he's going to be in Afghanistan and Pahk-i-stahn. BUT, I did it because it IS Lent and I need to expose myself to more sacrifices.
Was I the only one who was distracted by the former first lady's looking from left to right at the teleprompters and reading along with Obama? She looked so dang dorky and clueless...almost as much so as Obama.
Also, why does he constantly tell us "what I WANT to do is..." and "I want to be clear,..."? Check back. He does it IN EVERY SPEECH! Sometimes, he does it multiple times. It's almost as annoying as the dang "thumb press" or the "sideways palm chop". He can't look the people of the U.S.A in the eye because he's so intent on the words of his teleprompter. That is a weird affectation of speech that I think I will get VERY tired of for the next four years.

All The Buzz
Now that I've got your attention using a cute, fat baby:

Set Them Free UPDATE!
Better than nothing, but they should have been fully pardoned. God bless them.
(This was an email note from Laura Ingraham, you can sign up for her e-blast on her website. After that, there's a transcript from a House record of a Rep. Jones R-NC that is interesting. I can't imagine my neighbor, who is a police officer, being in jail and being kept from his two children and wife, for doing his JOB! Please pray for these two men and their families.)

Like every history-conscious president before him, President Bush has spent his final weeks in office shaping what he hopes to be his legacy. In short, he wants to be remembered for advancing America's security. In last night's final primetime national address, he described how after al Qaeda attacked America, "most Americans were able to return to life much as it had been before Nine-Eleven. But I never did. Every morning, I received a briefing on the threats to our Nation. And I vowed to do everything in my power to keep us safe." He's taken this message of protecting Americans to interviews with Mike Wallace, Brit Hume, and Sean Hannity.
He even sat down with Larry King.
Yet there's one thing he's still not done: Commute the sentences of U.S. Border Patrol Agents Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean.
As Laura Ingraham Show listeners already know, Ramos & Compean were arrested and jailed after shooting an illegal alien along the El Paso border in 2005. The victim, not that he deserves such a label, was a drug smuggler fleeing for Mexico. He wasn't badly hurt, yet after a problem-riddled trial, the agents received 11- and 12-year sentences. (By comparison, radical attorney Lynne Stewart received 28 months for providing material support to anti-American terrorists.) Since then, Ramos & Compean have been locked up in solitary confinement; Ramos has been beaten by fellow inmates, his home has been burglarized and vandalized; both agents' children are being raised without a father, and their wives have been deprived of their husbands.
Again, all of this comes as payment for their attempts at securing America. Commuting Ramos and Compean's sentences would hardly be partisan or even controversial.
Democrats like Reps. Bill Delahunt (D-Ma.), Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) support commutation, as do all but three of Texas's 34 congressmen. Even Johnny Sutton, the U.S. Attorney who tried the case, has said the decade-plus sentences are excessively harsh.
Last night President Bush acknowledged the importance of immigration and border control (homeland security) to American security: "America has gone more than seven years without another terrorist attack on our soil. This is a tribute to those who toil day and night to keep us safe - law enforcement officers, intelligence analysts, homeland security and diplomatic personnel, and the men and women of the United States Armed Forces."
President Bush has shown, time and again, his reservoir of compassion for U.S. troops is bottomless. Yet the Border Patrol is no less deserving. Already Ramos and Compean have served three years behind bars. Before departing, Bush must right this grave wrong - by issuing a final reminder that he always stood behind those serving on behalf of America's security.
(Mr. Walter Jones, R-NC)
Mr. Speaker, tonight I won't take nearly the 5 minutes that I have allotted, but I and many Members of the House have been trying to help two border agents, Border Agent Campean, and Border Agent Ramos, who are now serving 1 to 11 years in Federal prison, the other for 12 years in Federal prison for shooting a drug smuggler.
What makes this so sad, quite frankly, Mr. Speaker, is these men have had a wonderful record of serving the American people on the borders of this country, trying to help defend America from those who want to come to this country illegally, and especially those who have drugs or may be terrorists, quite frankly.
But these two men were found guilty in a Federal court, and I am afraid that all the information that could have been used to help these two men not go to prison was under seal. That is a legal issue, and I won't speak to that, but I will say that I want the people to know tonight, my colleagues here in the House, that the drug smuggler who had a record of smuggling drugs from Mexico to America was the one that they shot when he was trying to escape after his van crashed with 743 pounds of marijuana. These men thought they were doing their duty for this country, and therefore they shot at this drug smuggler as he was leaving. The bullet actually went through the buttocks and went out, and according to the medical examiner that meant that he was turned like he was going to face them and possibly, if he had a weapon, fire at them. They thought he had a weapon.
Mr. Speaker, the sad thing is that Agent Ramos 2 weeks ago was beaten in a Federal prison. These men, their lives are at stake, and we call upon the White House to look seriously at this case.
We think there are legal questions as to the indictment and to the process itself. We would like for the White House and the Attorney General's office to look seriously at whether these men should at least be given some type of pardon while their hearings are being heard. But we are calling on the White House to please look seriously at giving these two men an opportunity for pardon, because I do not know how we can say to the American people that our law enforcement, who are trying to protect this country from those who are invading this country, whether they be from Canada and Mexico, and yet with our border agents do the best job they can under very, very difficult situations, then they end up spending 11 and 12 years in Federal prison.
Again, in closing, and I will be closing, we are asking the administration to look carefully at the possibility of a pardon. There are many Members of the House, both Republican and Democrat, that are concerned about this case.
In fact, today, Senator Feinstein from California, a Democrat, called upon Mr. Leahy, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, to look into this case.
Mr. Speaker, with that, I will close by asking the President to please show the families of Mr. Compean and Mr. Ramos that justice does prevail in America if you are trying to defend the Constitution and defend the people of America.

Hear The Cry of the Poor...
(dang, it's getting LOUD in this country heh heh)
Life goes on. It really does! I swear!
So, now that we're under siege, here's what I'm going to do:
1. Keep praying and fighting for life. The poorest among us are the unborn/unseen humans. They can never be forgotten or ignored.
2. Go to my city council meetings and school board meetings and try to get one of those seats or support someone who is good to be on those boards. I don't think it's enough to just educate my children myself. I really do care about my neighbor's children and my relatives. I hope to have some impact on school choice and accountability to make our schools the best they can be.
3. Go to the tax cut rally next April.
4. Help the Republican party to understand that the main reason John McCain even won ANY state's electoral votes was ONLY because of Sarah Palin and if they try to shoot HER down as the reason he lost (which I heard is already happening, the b******s)...they are farther gone than is worth saving.
5. Try as hard as I can to build the Republican party up from the base to follow our platform as it is written and to kick every lily-livered, spineless, "middle of the road", "reachacrosstheaisler" OUT never to return and destroy any chance at all to bring back the ideals of our founders and take this nation BACK to being the best country, the most envied of all nations, the greatest form of government of all time.
6. Register for a weapon. I looked at some really SAWEEEET handguns today at Cabellas. I think I'll start saving right now (I WAS going to buy a nicer camera but I think my point and shoot piece will have to do until it conks out...I really wants me a GUN, pilgrim.)
So, what are YOU going to do? Really! Tell me about it! Tell me anything else I can do to keep my sanity and my hope alive!
Now, back to your regular, scheduled program of craziness.

Swing Voters?
I brought the kids to the polls with me today at around 1pm. There was no line at all and the whole thing took only 10 minutes or so. The only "trouble", I would say, that I encountered was this scenario: There was one lady in front of me as we were walking in the door. The helper asked her if she was registered and she didn't know so he, with a huge smile, offered to look in his book before she went in. After she went in, he turned his attention to me (the lady with the school aged kids and a baby on her back in a backpack...homeschoolers...maybe...open to life...conservative lady, maybe??) He gave me the stiff, fake smile (no smiling with his eyes like he had for that other lady) and directed me to the table when I said I was registered (he looked disappointed).
Oh well, the kids got the "you'd better be quiet and just watch what's happening, keep your hands and eyes to yourself, be respectful of others, don't embarrass me..." lecture before we went in and they were excellent. I made sure to take extra care to fill in the circles slowly so they could see how to do it. I had to chuckle when we were standing in line to drop our ballot in the box and a helper lady asked me, "did you leave a baby over here, is this your baby?". For one, brief, crazy moment I thought I had left a child over there (small room but it could happen!) but laughed when I saw that Mari had left her doll by where I voted.
Afterward, we walked over to the park (where we parked the car, I had a Michelle Bachmann bumper sticker that I didn't want to get in trouble for!) and played for a super long time until it started to sprinkle. It is amazingly warm and beautiful today! Tommy got his very first swing ride from Niklaus.
Matty hates posed pictures, can you tell? How do you like their shirts? I know, it's just wrong that I am encouraging them to become big-time, political nerds like me (also, I got those shirts from work for just a couple bucks so I couldn't resist).

God Have Mercy On Them...
...for they know NOT what they do.
Anyone else feel a cold chill brewing? I don't think it's just because I live in Minnesota and it's the end of October.

Who Said It?
"As long as capitalism and socialism exist we cannot live in peace; in the end, one or the other will triumph..."
The Maturity and Brilliance of Obama Supporters Just Astounds Me
This is the ginormous sign my parents put at the end of their driveway on a very main street in our town:

With the wonderful editing, it almost looks as though it says "Obama sucks" so I told Dad and Mom, "LEAVE IT!".
They did.
Dad told me that about 10+ perfect strangers have told him "thank you" for leaving the sign up.
This is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.
Oh, and for your amusement, I've also photographed the flip side:

You may have to click on the picture to get the full effect of the...artistry.
You're Welcome.

How To Keep It Interesting...
...if you're too young to play any "debate buzzword drinking games":

(I swear they did this on their own. I was listening to the debate half-heartedly while searching for info on the computer. They started giggling like crazy because the faces fit perfectly every time they did the split screen thing. It was too funny to watch them fight over who got to try what pictures and to watch them wait impatiently for the split screen each time!)

One Thing Matters
One thing that drives me nuts is when someone looks you in the eye and outright LIES to you. Have you ever had one of your children smack another one of your children RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU and when you spaz out and ask the first child, "Why did you do that???" they look you right in the eye and say something like, "Do what?" or say (before you even say anything) "I didn't do it!".
(WARNING! I am not a clinical psychologist. I don't know any of this for a fact. I'm just spouting my observations as a human being...)
I think human beings are absolutely programmed to self protect and keep themselves out of emotional and physical trouble. I think as we get older, we realize that our little lies are so transparent that , as much as we'd even like to convince ourselves, we really need to do the right thing and tell the truth.
Because we have grown UP.
Because we have grown WISER (thanks be to GOD!).
Because WISE people, who want to be treated as they treat others, KNOW better!
Barack Obama heard this testimony...
"One night, a nursing co-worker was taking an aborted Down's Syndrome baby who was born alive to our Soiled Utility Room because his parents did not want to hold him, and she did not have time to hold him. I could not bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone in a Soiled Utility Room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived. He was 21 to 22 weeks old, weighed about 1/2 pound, and was about 10 inches long. He was too weak to move very much, expending any energy he had trying to breathe. Toward the end he was so quiet that I couldn't tell if he was still alive unless I held him up to the light to see if his heart was still beating through his chest wall. After he was pronounced dead, we folded his little arms across his chest, wrapped him in a tiny shroud, and carried him to the hospital morgue where all of our dead patients are taken.
Other co-workers have told me many upsetting stories about live aborted babies whom they have cared for. I was told about an aborted baby who was supposed to have Spina bifida but was delivered with an intact spine. Another nurse is haunted by the memory of an aborted baby who came out weighing much more than expected ~ almost two pounds. She is haunted because she doesn't know if she made a mistake by not getting that baby medical help. A Support Associate told me about a live aborted baby who was left to die on the counter of the Soiled Utility Room wrapped in a disposable towel. This baby was accidentally thrown into the garbage, and when they later were going through the trash to find the baby, the baby fell out of the towel and on to the floor.
I was recently told about a situation by a nurse who said, "I can't stop thinking about it." She had a patient who was 23+ weeks pregnant, and it did not look as if her baby would be able to continue to live inside of her. The baby was healthy and had up to a 39% chance of survival, according to national statistics. But the patient chose to abort. The baby was born alive. If the mother had wanted everything done for her baby, there would have been a neonatologist, pediatric resident, neonatal nurse, and respiratory therapist present for the delivery, and the baby would have been taken to our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for specialized care. Instead, the only personnel present for this delivery were an obstetrical resident and my co-worker. After delivery the baby, who showed early signs of thriving, was merely wrapped in a blanket and kept in the Labor & Delivery Department until she died 2-1/2 hours later.
Something is very wrong with a legal system that says doctors are mandated to pronounce babies dead but are not mandated to assess babies for life and chances of survival. In other words, our laws currently say that babies have no rights to medical oversight until they are dead. We look the other way and pretend that these babies aren't human while they're alive but human only after they are dead. We issue these babies both birth and death certificates, but it is really only the death certificate that matters. No other children in America are medically abandoned like this. "
...and still, this happened:
"Rising on the floor, Obama said, “As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child -- however way you want to describe it -- is now outside the mother's womb and the doctor continues to think that it's nonviable but there's, let's say, movement or some indication that, in fact, they're not just coming out limp and dead, that, in fact, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved.”
In effect, Obama made clear he believed the legislature should trust the abortionist who had botched the abortion to determine whether or not the baby would survive.
In 2002, unlike 2001, Barack Obama took the rare -- for him -- step of voting “no” against all three pieces of legislation instead of voting “present.”
No doubt, like in 2001, Obama still pondered the implication of what would happen “if this were a child.” So how was a “born alive” infant defined? Barack Obama, in his own words, noted the legislation would define a “born alive” child and “if this is a child, then this would be an antiabortion statute.”
Knowing how the legislation defined a child makes clear that Obama did support infanticide. The legislation, in 2002 pushed as S.B. 1662, defined a child as follows:
the term "born alive", with respect to a member of the species homo sapiens, means the complete expulsion or extraction from its mother of that member, at any stage of development, who after that expulsion or extraction breathes or has a beating heart, pulsation of the umbilical cord, or definite movement of voluntary muscles, regardless of whether the umbilical cord has been cut and regardless of whether the expulsion or extraction occurs as a result of natural or induced labor, cesarean section, or induced abortion.
In other words, a child who is breathing, has a beating heart, or shows voluntary muscle movement and who is fully outside the mother shall be considered a “born alive” child. That was too much for Barack Obama. He did not think that a child who was alive and outside the mother’s womb should be considered a child for purposes of giving the child equal protection rights if it was the mother and doctor’s intention that the child be killed.
That is not a stretch or inference of Barack Obama’s record. That is Barack Obama’s record. The facts make that uncomfortably clear.
In 2003, the BAIPA made its way through the Illinois General Assembly again, having died in 2001 and 2002 in the Illinois House of Representatives. Between 2002 and 2003, the Democrats took over the Illinois Senate. Barack Obama then chaired the Senate Health and Human Services Committee.
Despite the BAIPA having passed the United States Congress with the support of Hillary Clinton, Ted Kenedy, Jerrold Nadler, and Barbara Boxer, and despite abortion groups likes Planned Parenthood and NARAL no longer opposing the legislation, Barack Obama still opposed it.
The law, contrary to Obama’s assertions, included abortion rights protections. Barack Obama himself voted in his committee to include those protections. But after voting to include abortion rights protections, Obama voted against the legislation in his committee. The BAIPA died in Obama’s committee in 2003, by a vote of 6-4.
Supporters of Barack Obama, such as Alan Colmes, say it is heinous and offensive to accuse Obama of supporting infanticide. David Brody of CBN, in denying Obama supports infanticide, writes, “Obama is a father of two young girls. You can bet that attacks like that will get him or any father riled up. That language seems to be way over the top. His critics can paint him as a pro-choice liberal. That’s fair but to go any further is really beyond the pale. Is Obama really sinister, a monster?” That is the gist of the Obama defense and is echoed by David Brody, Alan Colmes, and others. Barack Obama had children, therefore there is no way he could support infanticide.
Margaret Sanger and Josef Mengele both had children too. And somewhere in hell, Margaret Sanger is filling out her absentee ballot. Whether she casts it in New Orleans or Chicago won’t matter much in the final tally. "
You can nuance it any way you want by hiding behind "the poor" or "war", but I believe that if you are a Roman Catholic (not if you just call yourself one), you can NOT vote for Barack Obama.
A vote for him is a vote pro-abortion. Period. It's really the one thing he's stood up for and should be known for... Even when no one else would!
Here is a video I got off of Jill Stanek's blog (everyone should go there every day!) that I think is wonderful. I am an unapologetic fan of Ann Coulter and I love how she hides her brilliance behind sarcasm. I just do.
She's sarcastic in this video (of course) but really listen to her words...SHE'S RIGHT! If you read all of the background on the legislation regarding the Born Alive Infants Protection Act , you can see that (at best) Barack Obama is a completely ignorant goof when it comes to making decisions of life and death and (at worst) possibly has no regard for human life in it's poorest state (when it's completely dependant on the mother or medical intervention for survival).
I'll post nothing more "anti-Obama" because, even though he's annoying, and stiff, and a silly empty suit. All of the above stuff is all that matters to me in this election. Without a right to life, we HAVE NO RIGHTS. If Obama is so completely snowed by the notion that the BAIPA would somehow interfere with a woman's right to chose so much so, that he fails to recognize the simple truth that a child born breathing and with a heartbeat is AN ACTUAL human being despite the sad reality that it was first discarded by it's mother...HOW could he be trusted with any other legislation ?
How would it be any different if a mother took her toddler to a bridge and flung it off but the child survived? Would the EMS people just see that it was "the mother's choice" and back off, just holding the child until it bled to death or suffocated because it's lungs were damaged and it couldn't breathe?
How could ANYONE stand by and let this man be elected? Why aren't the facts of his vote in this matter being repeated every single day in the media?

She Sure Licked 'Em Good!
My favorite part of the speech?
When the littlest daughter was holding the baby and she gives her hand a big ol' lick and slicks his hair down.
THAT was a "mom move" and every mom out there worth her salt knows it well.
The reason I liked it so much was that it told me that her little one has spent a LOT of time with her mom to learn that mom move (it is not an automatic move, it has to be learned). It told me that she really is the middle class, downhomish, tough girl, loving mom that she presents herself to be.
This morning on the Joe Scarborough show, Amy Klobuchar was on and she had the nerve to say something like, "she never said the words 'middle class'!" to which the co-host replied something along the lines of, "she didn't HAVE to, she IS!"
Which was as plain as the nose on your face if you are, indeed, an actual middle class person!
Another complaint from the talking heads this morning was that she will be weak on foreign policy blahblahblah. What a joke. I have a feeling she could hold her own in any situation. But, the thing is...NO president (or VP) is truly alone when dealing with foriegn matters at all. I think about the strong prime ministers and queens throughout history who managed quite well to run their countries with lots more kids and more venomous snakes trying to take them down (with REAL poison, not just poisonous words!) than anyone today could deal with. President/VP of the U.S.? Piece of cake compared to that!
(she just keeps smiling and says "that's cool" when the blowhard, pink-tied idiot asks her the same damn question over and over. This lady is so for real, it's SCARY to them)
I thought it was super funny that the complaints got reduced down to "SHE'S MEAN!" and "how could she possibly mother her children and work at the same time?". Wow.
When they say, "I don't know if they can energize the base with her.". What they are really saying is, "holy crap, we are up s*** creek with this candidate now. Barack doesn't stand a chance against a bunch of riled up middle class soccer/hockey/cheerleading/Catholic/Prolife/piano/hunting/fishing/wrestling/4-wheeling/danceclass/homeschooling/politically saavy/regular/everyday/normal
WOMEN who now have someone JUST LIKE THEM to speak with their voice and be heard."
I love how this morning, on all of the news shows, all of hosts (that still have brown on their noses that hasn't wiped off from last week's DNC) are all so serious and depressed looking after Sarah Palin's whale of a speech.
It's hard not to be just a teeny bit giddy and giggle like a girl.

Why I'm A CONSERVATIVE First, Republican...Maybe* UPDATE
I was invited to pay 95 buckeroonies to go to a special pro-life gathering honoring Sarah Palin (a couple of months ago). Trine and I were going to go and hob knob with our hero, Phyllis Schlafly and get to meet the interesting Governor of Alaska.
We were kicking ourselves that we didn't buy tickets when we heard she had been chosen as the VP candidate.
Looks like we would have been disappointed anyway.
I know that schedules change and such, but would it be too much to ask for just a few minutes with the people that kept the conservative identity of the party alive all these years? Especially Mrs. Schlafly who is, in my opinion, the epitome of authentic womanhood. She is what Sarah Palin should wish to be when she grows up.
The worst criticism of her over the years has come from "feminists" who want to shut her up. They don't see that a woman always has/always will have "equal rights" but different talents. In the U.S., we have the FREEDOM to enjoy working with the talents God gave us to do whatever we want within our abilities! How dare they criticize her for achieving her goals and fighting for the little ones who REALLY HAVE NO VOICE? Oh, wait, I know how they dare! Because we have the freedom of speech! I know it would be so much easier to shut someone up when you don't know how to argue with them anymore, but we don't have the RIGHT to do THAT!
...rant to resume after I have a nice day with the kids. We are going for a nature walk in the low 70's weather we're having. I LOVE FALL!!!
* I talked to my sis today and she said she was listening to Laura Ingraham this morning. Laura said that she was at that reception and that she understood why they had to keep Gov. Palin "under wraps" and not let her attend the reception. I still think it would have been amazing if she showed up, but it would have been just as cool and amazing if we had gone to see Laura! We saw her speak at a country club one time when she was still receiving treatment for cancer. She is just incredible. Check her out some time if you get a chance.

GIRL POWAH! *UPDATE
Thank God! Yehawwwwwww!
Sorry, it's just hard to contain my excitement about Sarah Palin.
I've always said that the only way we'll ever get a woman P/VP would be if it were a GENUINE, conservative woman who was as real as you or I. Unless there's some twisted skeleton in her closet, she sure seems fit for the VP spot. I totally dig her. She could be my new BFF along with Michelle Bachmann. Man, I love those chicks! I truly admire them for being great wives and mothers yet sticking their smartness and money where their mouths are by fighting for what they believe in and not backing down. If she sticks to her guns and remains true to herself (without listening to "advisers" that I'm sure are going to be constantly in her ear for the next few months or years) she will have my vote.
I am NOT excited about John McCain nor will I ever really be. I will, however (as of now) be checking off the box by his name very happily knowing that if he croaks in office, our first woman president will actually just be the first REAL CONSERVATIVE president in a LOOOOOOOOONG while (woman or man).
GOT TO LOVE A GIRL LIKE HER!
Even Michelle is optimistic about her.
OOOOOOOH, wouldn't a ticket of Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann against HILLARY and whatever pinko lib she would pick to be her VP be a HOOT?
I'm giddy with the thought of all the WOMYN getting befuddled about who to vote for NOW! HEEHEEHEEHEEEEEEE!
I loved her speech. Especially the fact that she barely looked down, never said "um", or "like", or, (Heaven forbid) "y-oh" (in my opinion, that is Barack's worst habit. It's almost as bad as Hillary's witchy voice). I loved how she looked like she was speaking from the heart and not from notes and yet, she never stumbled. Plus, she's just as cute as a bug's ear in her skirtsuit, I don't care who you are you gotta admit that!
Her kids have goooooofy names, but I'll forgive her for that.
I'm listening to her speech again and I wonder what men will think of her? She maybe seems like she would make men (real men) want to be even better rather than think she's some kind of ball buster who would hen peck them until they pulled all their hair out.
Sen. McCain standing next to her looks a little out of place. You can tell he maybe didn't choose her himself but that he was SURE happy he did by the reaction of the crowd and the alternative media. I keep waiting for him to wipe his forehead and go "whew".
I think picking her was the ONLY smart thing he's done so far in this campaign.
*UPDATE:Whoopsie. Katrina (the daughter one) just read this post and said, "MOM! That's MEAN!" about this phrase:
"...knowing that if he croaks in office, our first woman president will actually just be the first REAL CONSERVATIVE president in a LOOOOOOOOONG while (woman or man)."
I guess what I should have said was something like, "...and, if John McCain happens to not be able to fulfill his duty as president of the U.S., THEN Sarah Palin could step in and be the first REAL CONSERVATIVE..."
Meaning, I should have pointed out more how great it would be that we could possibly have a genuine conservative for a president for the first time in a long time. I do not wish Sen. McCain to meet an untimely death. I'm sorry if my strange writing style made it appear so.
Also, after hashing this whole thing out with my sister on the phone tonight (we are both political junkies and our hubses are really NOT so we need our fix now and then) we agree on two things:
Gov. Palin should ditch the beehive/clippy do, and stop clapping into the microphone.
